ECL Members Tamara and Niharika have a new paper recently presented at CSCW 2023 in Minneapolis. Their paper, titled "'I don't know how to help with that': Learning from limitations of modern Conversational Agents (CAs)", is an analysis of a longitudinal study with dyads of older adults to explore their usage of Conversational Assistants such as Google Home. The paper discusses the tradeoffs gleaned from this use over a long period of time to inform insights into future systems. Click here to read the paper.
